This should be a good discussion. Iv been wondering the same thing about the claymores, frags, and flash bangs, and the M203s.

most sites seem not to allow flashbangs but the others seem to be used little if at all. was wondering this all myself. would like claymores to set around sniper hide. anyone out there understand this? and are m203's and frags within a good price range or are they all more expensive than a good airsoft gun.

Dude John I'm not saying this to be mean or any thing but Shrek is right you need to stop being so cheap. In airsoft you get what you pay for. And some things are just expensive and that's something all airsoft learn to live with. This sport aint cheap.

Claymores around a sniper hide is always a good idea. But for me they are a little bit too expensive,l since i would want to buy at least 2 at once. Frags not very expensive for the amount they would get used in any type of airsoft battle. They range any where from $45-$100. Flash bangs- don't know all that much about them but from what iv seen price wise they are to bad. The airsoft grenade launchers range from $100-$400. I have no experience with them but iv read plenty of reviews on the M16/M4 M203s and the CAW(Craft Apple Works) revolving multiple shot grenade launchers that i am a firm believer in them and they are both weapons that i would take into a airsoft Skirmish. The ammo for this launchers on the other hand is pretty pricey $30-$80 for each, but there are 3-4 packs out there and they are the better value sometimes just like the box sets of AR mags.

redwolf had a sexy kit for converting your normal m203 rounds into booby traps. they just set up a pin and wire system with the shell. you could attach them to trees or plant them in the ground. i thought they would work great since you get the performance you expect from your regular 203 shell instead of the springloaded "slingshot" style claymores from marushin (i think) and whoever else makes them. i want to try one for a doorway everyone always runs through at our site and let them get plastered in the knees with 180 rounds from a 203 shell ; )

that would be cool to have.

that was my thought too. then you get dual purpose out of your rounds if you buy a kit in bulk. i'll look into making one once i finish my regular launcher for the rounds

cool all that sounds reasonable and as for price i like inexpensive cuase if not might as well buy the real deal it's just a fun little sport.

you know those booby traps i mentioned. I made one and it is kick a$$. it looks rough as hell, but it does what you think it would and more. i'll post a few pics of it and mabey a video of it in action if i can find an unsuspecting... i mean... willing volunteer

Hey thought i would throw my two cents in..first off its nice to be back on the fourms...ive got no excuse and looks like there are recruting of new members which is good.

Ok so ive dealt with m203, launcherless grenades, and had ones. Even made my own claymore.

M203 to me just add that "WOW" factor to your gun...could they be effective...yes and are used for CQB. I have a Madbull rg108 launcherless grenade and its pretty sweet. The biggest thing to keep in mind with these are they arent like in video games or even real life. All they are is a glorified shot gun. Sure you could get maybe 30+ feet out of them but its sick to have them for room clearing and trench clearing.

The claymore I built was made out of rat traps and cost me less that 20 bucks for wood, traps, nails, glue, paint, string, ect....The hardest part is trying to get the firing mech. down. And once I get some free time im playing with and IR sensor. Ive got the sensor already and stuff to hook it up to...just gotta do it.

Enough beatin around the bush...I would say that from a scale of 1 to 10 they are anywhere from a 8-9 for the good, reputable stuff. I mean they arent the most practical thing and I would spend money elsewhere before buying them...thats what i did and its a nice touch to any collection.
