Wyoming Airsoft, Eye Protection on Let'er Buck!

so this idea just hit me.for those players are not exactly honest on calling their hits wat if the majority of the players on the field agree that those players arn't calling there hits then the face a firing squad.the players must turn around walk 50 ft and wait for the pain.level headedness on the part of the firing squad is crucial though don't lit them up beyond wat you think you should.i know it sounds kinna hardcore and not everyone will be down wit this but those of you that are get back to me.pain is the punishment for lying

No. this is completely unsafe. and goes against everything that Airsoft stands for.

If you find that some one is not taking their hits ask them to leave. Plain and simple. they refuse to leave, stop playing period. We've faced one situation where a player would not take his hits, we never invited them to an event / game again.

I'd never ever condone this type of action on the field it opens way to may safety and anger issues.

If they dont take a hit ask them to leave. period.
I know that no one can rightfully condone these kind of things. I was thinkin just a back yard nonsanctioned thing that I'm sure is just a friendly kinda game, like say your closest friends (your is a general thing) would play, cause when I talk about airsoft to new potential players the honesty thing always comes up. I know that everyone that I've ever played with is honest (few exceptions) so nautraly those potential particapents ask "what if everyone knows they got hit but they never call "out"?" so that got me thinkin, people can change and start being honest once they know they can't get away with lying. I believe in second chances so I don't agree with completly shunning them the first time anyway. Alot of people would never get the chance to play again if we just shut them out, airsoft groups arn't that abundent and those of us that are around have the guns, gear, bb's, and knowledge of all the things that a newb's wouldn't have, so us shuting them out just seems a little elitest to me. With the ranks of Adminastrator, General, Col., Commander, Leader or whatever comes with it a responsibility to not push people away and be "cliqy" if you will. We are the greeters/moderators for airsoft as a whole from hardcore to not so, so to find a balance would be idealy the goal to get Airsoft into the mainstream and build a community of honest players. Again this is not the solution but we need help to build this Airsoft community with honesty and integrity as a #1 priority. This idea came directly from a conversation with a potential new player.i think that if this was to happen the suspect player would think twice before cheating again.all players do have free will and could be asked if they want to continue to play then this is the ramafacations of cheating.they can leave and we will forget bout them or they can muster some humility and change the way they play and continue to be a part of this thing we all love.war games, tactics, honesty, nclusion andjust gettin downthats what airsoft stands for to me,but keep in my name isn't airsoft and everyone is different thats what airsoft stands for to me.but i'm just a dude like the rest of us,no one ever wrotewhat aisoft"stands"4

I do agree with Gen. Lee. If your going to come out and have some fun then why be unhonest. It is just a game, no need to cheat. It's only unfair to yourself, because then you never really get a chance to see how good you really are. If you are one of the few that doesn't like to call when they're hit everone seems to catch on pretty quick so what's the point. This game is not for poor sports! I honestly think that 50ft. is a bit to far but will be handled within reason, if the poor sport dissagrees with the punishment then maybe dont come back till you are ready to admit that you're not calling hits made on you and are ready to take what ever sort of punishment is agreed upon by the players at/on the battlefield that day. So quit lying cause your scared to admit that your dead or dont think it was a killing shot a lot of games have a respawn point and you can come back to life anyway. I get shot in the hand or even the finger a hit is a hit (excluding rifle). Their is always another game/day for you to come out and dominate. Thats just kinda what I think should happen, but whatever is decided on wether it be punished or not it's cool with me, but I just suggest that if your going to lie you might as well not even show up. I go because I love to compete and it's really fun, not to cheat my friends from the tallent they hold in the field. I hope for the same respect back. Laters.
Ok Ok First and for most safety is #1 thing in airsoft and we need to do things safe but I do somewhat agree with Gen.Lee but I think it should be done in true honerable fashion to where 5or6 people who are playing will march the person in question out 50to75ft blind fold him and then each of those 5or6 players will take one shot each and that is that like Gen.Lee said shunning people after one game will not help the sport grow also if this tactic is used I think it should be discussed and agreed on by everyone who is playing
cause if it cool with all the players everyone might be inclined to call there outs also i don't think we should shoot anyone from neck up so no head shots and we will make sure that the person in question will be totaly safe at the time of the firing Col.Shrek DDMC MDK............
i have only played once and with ddmc (had a blast) and when i was hit i called hit im hounest that way. how could you be certain that a individual was honest or not some people wear gear that they might not feel the hit. what if some people wanted to punish a player for what ever reason they could say so and so did not call hit when they should have and so forth, false acuzation the thing is you cant be sure maybe there should be a trial first. and what about the guy that wants to go up aginst a fire squad that may encurage him to cheet. sorry just had to pipe in
Ok let me put it this way.

I will shun a player new or old if they are not honest and willing to take their hits. Airsoft is about integrity.

Secondly Some one may "Say" they are willing to take the shots only to go home and have their parent, sibling, wife, husband etc see the welts and ask what happens.

Here is the hugest issue of this whole discussion. When they say "Oh I was put in front of a firing squad and shot at from (insert yards here) by 6 to 12 people because they felt I didnt take my hits". What do you honestly think is going to happen?

One. Cops will be called

Two. If the cops arent called I'll be truly surprised.

three. A whole crap load of trouble will be coming down the pipe for all involved specially if this player is a minor.

Guys all it takes is ONE incident and that can seriously hamper or hurt Airsoft as a whole within the state. We have been EXTREMELY Fortunate that nothing serious has happened with "Point blank shooting" etc.

When it absolutely comes to safety and integrity If you cannot take your hits you will not play simple as that.

An old addage I used to tell my cadets and I tell soldiers today when they ask why we don't "Beat" them to make them learn better.

Simple You can beat a dog only so many times before it either A. Bites you, or B. pisses all over the floor every time it see's you. Is your objective meet with the dog? Well Yes he stopped doing what he was doing wrong, He learned that, but now you have two completely different problems to fix. How are you going to fix those? Beat the dog to death?

This whole conversation applies to taking your hits, the POW/Surrender concerns etc. Yes I'm all for Fun in Airsoft. I feel no need for any further rules that will hamper the play and MILSIM of the Sport. But Common Sense and Safety go a long way and Public Image will or will not destory this sport in Wyoming.

Again all it takes is one person to do something and some one else not like it. Me personally you accuse me of not taking my hits then demand me to Stand with my back so that a group of guys can shoot me? You can shove that where the sun doesn't shine I'll find some were else to play.

Peer pressure plays a huge factor in teams and in games especially with younger "New" players around Older Experienced players. They do not realize that some actions are not a good idea specially when brought fourth by more experienced older players.

When your asked about the honesty question state it very simply. You are either honest or go play paintball. Airsoft is about Honesty/Integrity. Either you have it or you dont.

This whole deal may seem harsh but it is very simple. You put some one in front of a "Firing squad" wether they agree to or not they can change their words later on if the situation arises. The Media gets ahold of "A Group with BB Guns place a minor in front of a firing squad" ... well I'll let your imagination work when All the Rest of Wyoming Airsoft as well as the out laying states find out it was your team who ruined Airsoft in this state. Harsh? Yes. The Truth absolutely.

Backyard, Trusted friends, what ever the case its a bad idea all around Dont do it.

My humble opinion again as always you are free to do as you wish but if you do, you are not associated with Wyoming Airsoft. Any one feels differently on this matter please drop me a PM and we'll talk it over. I am closing this discussion as there are far better ways of dealing with dishonesty and recruiting new players.

Art.

Just my humble opinion.
well i never thought about it that way lex and i totaly understand what you are saying man and I agree with you 100% now and i dig the talking to the player at the time of the acusation and try to have he or she understand the honor and intagraty of this game I for one want to see this sport grow in wyoming just as much if not more than everyone else I hope that all the new players and old will help to make this happen for our state so in conclusion I have had a change of heart and i will not support this idea and i will not be part of any game where this is taking place I also want everyone to know that If i host a game up here in gillette this will not take place at any of the DDMC's events cause we dont need law enforcement envolved unless they are playing
